Kudos Listed as Sample Vendor in Three Gartner 2014 Hype Cycle Reports on Technology

Calgary, AB (August 26, 2014) – Kudos®, a globally used and recognized provider of SaaS-based social employee recognition networks, announced today that it has been listed as a sample vendor in three recent Gartner Hype Cycles Reports: Hype Cycle for Social Software, 2014(1); Hype Cycle for Human Capital Management Software, 2014(2); Hype Cycle for Digital Workplace, 2014(3). This is the second year running that Kudos has been listed as a sample vendor in the Social Software and Human Capital Management Software reports. 2014 marks Gartner’s first ever report on Digital Workplace, and with Gartner stating that the Digital Workplace report was created to “serve as a guide to the forces driving the transition to a more consumerized, mobile, social and engaged workplace” a presence in this report is of special significance to Kudos.

Gartner’s Hype Cycle on Human Capital Management Software noted that: “We continue to witness a significant shift in deployment patterns as SaaS vendors grow at the expense of on-premises offerings.” Tom Short, Kudos Co-Founder and Co-CEO, welcomes this revolution to the world of work, saying “those companies not integrating social and cloud-based SaaS technologies into daily operations are quickly becoming dinosaurs. Furthering this point, Gartner’s Hype Cycle on Human Capital Management Software also noted that “mobile and social technologies have fundamentally changed talent management processes”, and Yvette Cameron, Research Director at Gartner, furthered this sentiment in all three Hype Cycle Reports with her observation that “the latest mobile capabilities from the providers are likely to accelerate adoption.” Kudos released its Android app earlier this year as a partner to its iPhone app and mobile web versions and continues to release updates for all three. “Social and mobile technologies, when embraced properly, can have dramatic effects on culture”, says Kudos Co-Founder and Co-CEO Muni Boga, “companies of all sizes, from around the world are contacting us because they want a cloud-based, private social network where recognition and engagement can happen anywhere.”
